Edge computing moves enterprise applications closer to where the data comes from, like IoT devices or local edge servers. You can process more data, faster, and businesses can act on it in real time. You get insights sooner, quicker responses, and more bandwidth to spare. The catch is security. Data now gets collected and analyzed out at the edge, so the IoT devices there need real protection.
