Decart launches Lucy 2.5, a live video model with real-time streaming VFX aimed at robotics training too
Decart released Lucy 2.5, a live video model that generates AI visual effects (fireballs, smoke, explosions, character transformations) continuously and embeds them into live video streams without post-production.
The model adds finer control over how generated elements are placed and behave, plus an instant object-removal feature that leaves no visible editing artefacts.
Lucy 2.5 is already available through the Decart API, targeting advertising, personalized promotional clips, and virtual try-on shopping experiences.
Decart says the same physics engine that powers Lucy 2.5's effects also improves its Oasis 3 world-model simulations, which are used to train "physical AI" robotics systems.
Decart raised a $300 million funding round in May, backed by Amazon's VC arm, Nvidia, Adobe Ventures, Atreides Management and Sequoia Capital, following deals with AWS (December) and a Comcast-Nvidia edge infrastructure partnership (March).
