Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos is an American entrepreneur, media proprietor, and investor. He is the founder, executive chairman, and former president and CEO of Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce and cloud computing company. He also owns The Washington Post and founded the space exploration company Blue Origin.
Bezos was born on January 12, 1964. He was a former Wall Street computer engineer who created Amazon in 1994 to sell books online. After an initial public offering in 1997, Amazon's stock shot up almost 40-fold, sending Bezos's fortune above 180 billion.
Bezos was the world's richest person on Forbes' list of the World's Billionaires from 2018 through 2021. He dropped to the second richest on the 2022 billionaires list.
