Dune: Part Three final trailer shows Paul Atreides as Emperor, sets December 18 IMAX release
- Warner Bros. released the final trailer for Dune: Part Three, Denis Villeneuve's closing chapter of his trilogy, adapted from Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah.
- The film opens in theaters including IMAX on December 18, with Timothée Chalamet's Paul Atreides on the imperial throne, worshipped as a religious icon by the Fremen and facing a conspiracy inside his own sphere of influence.
- Robert Pattinson joins as the shape-shifting Scytale; returning cast includes Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia, and Jason Momoa as a clone of Duncan Idaho, with Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, and Charlotte Rampling.
- Slant's own reviews of the trilogy have split: its critic found Dune collapsed under self-seriousness, while Dune: Part Two struck the magazine as a triumph of minimalist maximalism.
