Both Dune films return to Imax as a Nov. 13 double feature with an exclusive Dune: Part 3 sneak peek, and each film gets additional showtimes from Nov. 14 to 18.
Dune: Part 3 opens in theaters Dec. 18 and jumps 20 years ahead, with Paul Atreides having conquered most of the universe.
Robert Pattinson joins as Scytale, a shape-shifting villain who tries to kill and overthrow Paul; Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke play the twins Leto II and Ghanima, and Anya Taylor-Joy returns as Alia after a Part 2 cameo.
Box office: the 2021 Dune made $411 million worldwide and Part 2 grew to $715 million.
Oscars: the first film won six of its 10 nominations (score, sound, editing, cinematography, production design, visual effects), and Part 2 won best sound and visual effects from five nominations.
