Alibaba opens Wan3.0 beta with 30-second 1080p video and document-to-video inputs
Alibaba's Wan3.0 generates video clips up to 30 seconds in one pass at up to 1080p, doubling Wan2.7's 15-second limit.
The model accepts text, images, audio, video, web pages, PDFs, and PowerPoint files, allowing source documents and slides to be converted into structured video output.
Wan3.0 is priced at $0.05 per second at 480p, $0.10 at 720p, and $0.20 at 1080p, or $12 per minute at the highest tier versus $0.40 per second for Google Veo 3.1's standard tier.
Access remains staged: Wan3.0 is in application-based beta on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio and Qwen Cloud, API access is rolling out, and wan.video is planned as a members-only consumer site.
Alibaba has kept Wan3.0's weights closed, unlike earlier open-source Wan releases; the model has not yet received independent benchmark results.
