Alibaba rolls out Wan 3.0 with 30-second 1080p document-to-video generation
- Alibaba rolled out Wan 3.0 on August 24 after an August 6 public beta, with generation of up to 30-second 1080p videos in one pass and optional native audio.
- The model accepts PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, Markdown files, and web pages alongside text, images, video, and audio, using them as references for video generation rather than guaranteeing factual conversion.
- Alibaba's international Model Studio lists wan3.0-video API access as an approval-based preview, while Chinese creation services list the model as available; Alibaba has not released downloadable production weights.
- International listed pricing is $0.05 per second at 480p, $0.10 at 720p, and $0.20 at 1080p, putting a 30-second generation at about $1.50, $3, or $6 before retries.
