Alibaba's Wan 3.0 beta claims 30-second single-pass AI video and document inputs
Alibaba Cloud put Wan 3.0 into public beta on August 6, 2026, claiming a single generation pass can create video clips up to 30 seconds long rather than stitching shorter clips.
Wan 3.0 accepts DOC, XLS, PPT, PDF, Markdown files, and web pages as creative references alongside text, images, audio, and video, targeting uses such as turning slide decks or spreadsheets into videos.
Alibaba lists official per-second rates of ¥0.3 at 480P, ¥0.6 at 720P, and ¥1.2 at 1080P; the published tiers contain no 4K option.
The beta does not yet have fully opened public API access or published weights, and Alibaba has released no technical report, model card, parameter count, frame rate, or benchmark results for Wan 3.0.
Alibaba says audio quality and typographic accuracy still need improvement; Wan 2.2 is the latest open-weight flagship in the Wan series, while Wan 3.0 is API-only.
