New Dune: Part Three Trailer Shows Paul Atreides as Emperor and Holy War Instigator
Warner Bros. released the second trailer for Dune: Part Three, directed by Denis Villeneuve, showing Timothee Chalamet's Paul Atreides as a Padishah Emperor waging holy war rather than the revolutionary of the first two films.
The film draws from Frank Herbert's Dune: Messiah and expands the Holy War plot point that the original novels largely skipped over.
Paul enters the story married to Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh), while Tleilaxu Face Dancer Scytale (Robert Pattinson) works to undermine him.
The cast includes Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Momoa, and Isaach De Bankole, with the screenplay co-written by Villeneuve and Brian K. Vaughan.
Dune: Part Three is set to release on December 18, 2026, closing out Villeneuve's trilogy.
