Black Forest Labs releases FLUX Video Edit, an API-only video editing model at $0.03 per second

Black Forest Labs released FLUX Video Edit, an API-only service that edits only the sections a user specifies and leaves the rest of the frame untouched.
Edits are capped at 15-second clips, and the model supports adding, removing, or replacing objects and swapping one person for another.
Pricing is $0.03 per second of video, which Black Forest Labs charts as cheaper and higher quality than Seedance 2.5 and MiniMax H3 in its own benchmarking.
Referencing images, video, and audio as edit inputs is not yet supported and is described as coming soon.
The company announced the tool on X on September 10, 2026, framing it as the fastest and lowest-cost video editing model available.
