Google releases Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash with 40-second scene extension and 4K upscaling
- Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash extends video in 10-second chunks to a cumulative 40 seconds, using up to 10 seconds of prior footage as context instead of only the previous model's final second.
- The model adds first-and-last-frame interpolation: developers can supply opening and closing images and generate the footage between them for camera moves, transitions, or loops.
- Omni 1.1 outputs at 1080p or 4K, but Google's API documentation says both resolutions are upscaled; 720p is the default output and 360p is also available.
- Google makes the model available through the Gemini API, AI Studio, and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform; Flow access is global for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers.
- Adobe Firefly has integrated Gemini Omni Flash, and Google has also brought the model to Vids.
