Dune: Part Three Trailer Debuts, Confirms December 2026 Release and Abu Dhabi Shoot Details
Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures released the first official trailer for Dune: Part Three, the final chapter of Denis Villeneuve's trilogy.
Filming took place over a 31 day shoot in Abu Dhabi's Liwa Desert (including two days in Al Ain), involving more than 600 UAE-based individuals, among them 206 local crew, 12 stunt performers, 336 local contractors, 38 crowd extras, and six interns.
The story is set almost two decades after Paul Atreides took the Imperium; Paul is now Emperor and faces rebellion, betrayal, and visions of Imperial collapse, with Chani central to the unfolding conspiracy.
Dune: Part Three opens in North American theaters and IMAX on December 18, 2026, and internationally from December 16, 2026, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and, in China, by Legendary East.
The film is directed by Denis Villeneuve, written by Villeneuve and Brian K. Vaughan, and stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, and newcomers Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke.
