A new Dune: Part Three teaser has Edric answer Irulan's question, "Tell me what lies ahead," with: "The end."
Edric is a Spacing Guild Navigator and, in Frank Herbert's Dune Messiah, joins the conspiracy against Paul Atreides with Irulan, the Bene Gesserit, Bene Tleilax, and Scytale.
The teaser's sarcophagus-like Edric is the first substantial depiction of a Guild Navigator in Denis Villeneuve's Dune films, which have largely left the Guild and its spice-based navigation process implicit.
The article links Edric's opaque visor to Guild representatives seen in Dune: Part One, while noting the teaser does not reveal the Navigator's body beneath it.
