Dune: Awakening Arrives on PS5 and Xbox with Full Single-Player Mode and $9.99 Filmic Archive DLC
- Funcom released Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5 and Xbox, the survival MMO's first console launch, with the full game playable in a new single-player mode and deep gameplay settings covering harvesting rates, death penalties, and XP gain.
- The Filmic Archive DLC (all platforms, $9.99) brings movie gear like the Caladan Stormcoat from Dune: Part One and the Aegis of an Unwalked Path armor from Part Two, plus 73 Sardaukar building pieces, decor, weapons, and emotes.
- Today's console release carries a major update that also lands on PC, adding story content that concludes Book One of the game's campaign and finishing 15 months of post-launch changes now all present on console at day one.
- Those 15 months of changes make PvP fully optional with a separate PvE Deep Desert instance, rebuild the endgame around missions and Atreides or Harkonnen ranks, drop base and vehicle loss and taxes, and add Augmentations and Specializations.
- A 50% Steam discount runs to October 8, cross-play is confirmed for after launch, and a physical PS5 edition ships via Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe in EMEA while the game counts down to the Dune: Part Three premiere on December 18.
