Warner Bros. releases 'Dune: Part Three' teaser, first look at Robert Pattinson's Scytale
- Warner Bros. released the official teaser trailer for Dune: Part Three on Tuesday, the third and final film in Denis Villeneuve's trilogy, adapted from Frank Herbert's Dune Messiah.
- The trailer opens with Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) holding a pregnant Chani (Zendaya) many years after the events of Part Two, and the two discuss naming the baby Leto, after Paul's father, Duke Leto Atreides.
- Robert Pattinson appears for the first time as the villain Scytale, with a platinum blond buzz-cut and matching eyebrows, in footage of an ongoing war.
- Villeneuve directed and wrote the script with Brian K. Vaughan; Rebecca Ferguson returns as Lady Jessica, Florence Pugh as Empress Irulan, and the cast also includes Jason Momoa, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem and Isaach De Bankolé, plus newcomers Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke.
- Dune: Part Three arrives in theaters Dec. 18.
