Dune: Part Three Gets Dec. 18, 2026 Release Date; Pattinson and Taylor-Joy Join Cast
- Warner Bros. confirmed Dune: Part Three for a Dec. 18, 2026 theatrical release, and Denis Villeneuve has started pre-production on an adaptation of Dune Messiah, the second Frank Herbert novel; he does not plan to take the franchise past this third film.
- Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, Zendaya as Chani, and Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, while Robert Pattinson plays the villain Scytale, a role he revealed in a Nov. 3, 2025 IndieWire interview.
- Anya Taylor-Joy joins as Alia, Paul's younger sister, after being teased at the end of Part Two; the March 17, 2026 casting confirmation also locked in Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, and Isaach De Bankolé as Farok.
- Newcomers Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, 16-year-old son of Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet, and Ida Brooke of Silo play Leto II and Ghanima, Paul and Chani's twins, per a June 17, 2025 Deadline report.
