Dune: Prophecy Renewed For Season 2 At HBO Ahead Of Season 1 Finale

HBO renewed Dune: Prophecy for a second season on Dec. 19, 2024, days before the season 1 finale airs Sunday at 9/8c.
The prequel is set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides and follows Harkonnen sisters Mother Superior Valya (Emily Watson) and Reverend Mother Tula (Olivia Williams) as they build the sect that becomes the Bene Gesserit.
Alison Schapker (Altered Carbon, Westworld) remains showrunner after HBO confirmed she will continue to guide the series.
The cast includes Travis Fimmel as Desmond Hart, Mark Strong as Emperor Javicco Corrin, and Jodhi May as Empress Natalya, with Jessica Barden and Emma Canning as young Valya and Tula.
Sarah Aubrey, Head of Max Original Programming, credited the show with captivating audiences worldwide and said HBO will work with Legendary and the same team again.
