Dune: Awakening v1.5 adds a full single-player mode, character-based main menu, and 40-player self-hosting
- Dune: Awakening v1.5, released 18 Sep 2026, adds a full single-player mode to a game that shipped as an MMO: The Exchange now works as a vendor, the Landsraad simulates rival guilds so competition progresses without players, and the Coriolis storm no longer kills instantly or wipes the Deep Desert, so progress there is kept.
- World rules are now player-tunable: sandstorms, security zones (Hagga Basin can be set fully PvP or fully PvE), harvesting and XP multipliers, building piece limits, item durability, base decay, sandworm and Coriolis auto-spawn, what drops on death, and maximum land claims.
- The main experience now centers on characters rather than servers: the new main menu shows your characters and lets you bring backed-up bases and vehicles to whichever world you pick, while single-player characters stay exclusive to single-player.
- A player's own PC can host a game for up to 40 players, and work done for the console releases brought optimizations. Cross-play is not live yet.
- The first part of the story is now complete, and the Cartographer skill extends the Fog of War reveal radius.
