Dune 3 starts filming in Budapest as Villeneuve's Dune Messiah adaptation

Production on Dune 3 has officially begun, with filming underway in Budapest according to World of Reel; Villeneuve directs this before his next James Bond movie for Amazon MGM Studios.
The film adapts Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah and follows 2021's Dune and 2024's Dune: Part Two, along with the Dune: Prophecy spin-off series that premiered in November 2024.
Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, and the announced cast includes Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides.
Reports that Robert Pattinson was being eyed for a villain role have not been confirmed by the studio.
